INTRODUCING:
HELMUT!
Grizelda needed a "familiar," as any good witch does, but where do you find
one? Grizelda thought about it, and decided.
She looked at the pound, being a socially conscious person, to adopt an
abandoned animal. There she found a dachshund with the LONGEST nose she
had ever seen (which was why they abandoned him, tsk tsk).
It was a soft tan male dachshund, and "something" just made Grizelda know
this was her animal. He seemed to have a sort of "glow" that the others
in the cat section and the female dogs just didn't have.
Grizelda
made a clicking sound with her mouth, and they made eye contact immediately,
and it was love at first sight. He pushed his way through the others, wagging
his tail so hard that even his head was going in rhythm.
Grizelda named him Helmut on the spot. She had an idea from somewhere
that her companion was supposed to be a hound from Hell, so what was a
better name for a Hell hound?
Now, please understand, Helmut is decidedly the most un-hellish wiener
dog ever, but he is a wonderful companion to Grizelda and all her strange
adventures.
Grizelda
paid to have Helmut get a full physical, shots and all preventative meds
and vitamins. She then cuddled her new companion close and they went home
to their new shared life.
